Orchard Gems
We use local fresh fruit (no added flavorings!) and zero gelatin to make these soft-chew gems. There's a huge burst of fresh fruit flavor in every bite. Individual flavor availability is seasonal and changes frequently. Individual flavors are described below, but we also offer a variety pack that's a combination of whatever different flavors are available at the time.
All packages contain over a quarter pound of intensely flavored candy.
Royal Cacao - Made from the fruit that surrounds the cacao seeds, this soft chew is bursting with fresh tropical fruit flavor. And no, it doesn't taste anything like chocolate! It's a little hard to describe, but white grape, pineapple and soursop gets you part of the way there. This is our signature flavor, fit for royalty and as far as we know, you won't find it anywhere else in the world.
Pineapple Exotic - Fresh pineapple plus tropical Hamakua-grown spices make this an exotic and alluring treat. This flavor always makes people smile or excitedly say, "Ooh!" Some people say it reminds them of pineapple upside down cake, and others just remark about how amazing the Hawaiian spices meld with the pineapple.
Grumichama - Brazilian cherries produce a beautiful rich tangy flavor similar to a combination of Morello (tart) and bing cherries, but with the slightest hint of a cinnamon/clove undertones. This is an incredible summer flavor and the fruit is in short supply.
Lilikoi Lime - Tangy yellow lilikoi (passionfruit) grown on our farm and our neighbor's combines with a hint of makrut lime zest to create a bright and zingy flavor that is sure to make everyone passionate about passionfruit.
Bearss Lime - Lime lovers will go bonkers over this one. These have a pure, clean lime flavor made from the juice and zest of Hawaii-grown 'Bearss' (a.k.a. 'Tahiti' or 'Persian') limes. The flavor is vivid and refreshing and has been a surprisingly popular flavor for us.
Hibiscus - This intense flavor is reminiscent of tart strawberries and cranberries and is a favorite autumn flavor here in Hawaii. We grow an especially flavorful variety that is also especially irritating to the skin when harvesting, so don't ever say we don't love you. A friend once said, "If purple had a flavor, this is what it would taste like." Even without synesthesia, we agree.
Eureka Lemon - Lemon doesn't get any truer than this. Know how you usually leave the lemon candies for last and eat the red ones first? This isn't that type of lemon. This one gets picked first for kickball.
Calamansi - Those who know, know. This is one of the most delicious citrus fruits we've ever eaten. It's a cross between a lime and a kumquat and the flavor is like going to the beach to watch kittens and puppies in hula skirts walking on their hind legs and dancing for you on a warm, sunny summer day.
